Q&A AND CHARIOT UPDATE TIME 1/3
Hey guys! This is a small update as to what's happening with the project and something you may be interested in. Chariot was helped and kickstarted immensely by audience input in the old 4chan threads and continues into /mg/chan today with encouragement and ideas. Me and my partner are both extremely thankful for any and all attention we've been given, and hope to deliver an awesome product for you to enjoy.
First–due to some real life constraints as well as numerous edits to the written demo, my partner the writer's been a bit preoccupied. The demo itself encompasses the first full 24 hours of the story, in a story that lasts 7 days at the longest. This will include the beginning of each of the game's routes of course, and they're all extremely different as the game continues onwards. There are six character routes planned between Richard, Max, Ripley, Tai, Don and Indigo; depending on who you choose, some characters live and some die, with one definite "true" route where most characters survive–familiar to the game 999, which worked in a similar way.
Secondly–programming is going amazingly. Ren'py is an easy and versatile program, and I'm learning the actual Python programming language as well. My partner also has created lots of brilliant, original music for this project. Sound design is highly important to us, and breathes life into the game through that music, as well as sound effects and background noise. We'd be happy to impress you guys in regards to the art, the sound, and the writing. My partner is actually more important than me in that sense–I'm just doing the art and plugging in the script. He's working hard on the actual writing and music that will be in the final game, and deserves all the recognition for that he can get.
